mr. robert eugene ballard

 

Mr. Robert Eugene Ballard, age 45, of the Dillard Road, Blairsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 1999 in the Union General Hospital following a sudden illness.  He was born on May 6, 1954 in Spartanburg, SC, the son of the late James Ballard and Dorothy Scruggs Ballard.  He had lived in the Blairsville area for about one year.  He was a member of The Church of God in Inman, SC.

Surviving Mr. Ballard are his wife, Alice McGaha Worthy Ballard of Blairsville; mother, Dorothy Simmons of Woodruff, SC; daughter, Robyn E. Ballard; two sons, Robert E. Ballard, Jr. and jack E. Worthy, all of the home; two brothers, James F. Ballard of Spartanburg, SC, Joseph C. Ballard of Landrum, SC; two sisters, Teresa Corn of Boiling Springs, SC, and Nancy Faye Greenway of Spartanburg, SC; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 28, 1999 at 11 am from the chapel of the Lanford Funeral Home in Woodruff, SC.  Interment followed in the Walnut Grove United Methodist Cemetery.  The family met with friends on Tuesday evening at the Mountain View Funeral Home and Wednesday evening at the Landford Funeral Home.

mrs. angela elaine loner

 

Mrs. Angela Elaine Loner, age 29, of 1489BCrumby Creek Terrace, Blairsville, GA, died Friday, October 29, 1999 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA following an extended illness.

Mrs. Loner was a native of Gwinnett County, GA and lived most of her life in Forsyth County, GA.  She had lived in Blairsville for the past five years.  She was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church in Union County.

She is survived by her husband, James Loner, Blairsville, GA; parents, Harve and Betty Grizzle, Blairsville, GA; sisters, Carol Cross, Cumming, GA, Deborah Holland, Cumming, GA, Linda Thaxton, Cumming, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herschel and Brenda Loner, Cumming, GA; several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were scheduled for 2 pm Sunday, October 31, 1999 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Rev. Willis Garrett and Rev. Clyde Bolling officiating.  Interment was in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church #2 Cemetery in Suches, GA.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of arrangements.

ms. norma anne evans wilhelm

 

Ms. Norma Anne Evans Wilhelm, age 73, of Brannan Lodge, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 1999 at her residence following an extended illness.  Ms. Wilhelm was born on August 12, 1926 in Albany, New York, the daughter of the late Hiram W. Evans and the late Anna Jakad Evans.  She had been living in the Blairsville area for the past ten years, moving here from Gainesville, FL.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ackerman in 1968.

Surviving Ms. Wilhelm are two daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon and Steve Keen of Blairsville, Wendy and Dave Susmarski of CA; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Brian Charles and Tammy Evans of Dallas, TX, Evan and Pat Wollack of Elmhurst, IL; one sister, Shirley Trail of Port St. Lucie, FL; fifteen grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services are planned for a later date and will be announced.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in ms. Wilhelms memory.
