rikelle allison (rikki) purcell
Rikelle
Allison (Rikki) Purcell, age 41, died unexpectedly on October 29, 2009,
in
Sebring, FL. She was born in Erie, PA,
May 23, 1968, daughter of Richard and Cheryl Purcell.
She resided in Sebring for a short time,
where she worked as an office manager for the Appliance Hospital. Her previous home was in Blairsville,
GA. She was raised in Erie, Pennsylvania
and Connecticut and attended Norwich Free Academy (1982-1986).
She is
survived by her parents, who reside in Albion, PA;
her sister Rebecca Pietrzykowski and her husband, Edward Pietrzykowski,
and
their children Elias and Ruth of South Hadley, MA; her brother William
Purcell
of Erie, PA, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She
enjoyed reading, telling funny stories, spending time
with friends and helping others. She
would want to be remembered by how very much she loved the two most
precious
people in her life, David and Kyle Harris of Blairsville, GA.
A
Catholic Mass and burial will be private. Donations
may be made in her name to Autism

Ronnie
Dale Adams, age 61, native and lifelong resident of Blairsville,
Georgia,
passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 at his home.
Ronnie was born on November 11, 1947 in Union
County, Georgia, to the late Coyle and Imogene Wilson Adams. He was a member and deacon of Mt. Pleasant
First Baptist Church and a US Army Vietnam Veteran.
Surviving
family members include his wife, Linda Adams of the home; sons, Jeremy
Adams of
Blairsville; and Michael Adams of Atlanta, sisters and brothers-in-law,
Gay
& John Dybas of Irvine, California;
Carol &
Mac Warren of Blairsville; Janice & Ron Gratton of Blairsville;
Charolette
& Larry Conley of Blairsville; sisters, Audrey Andrews of Conyers,
Georgia,
and Pam Moon of Blairsville; brothers & sisters-in-law, Randall
& Lilly
Adams and Tommy & Gwen Adams, all of Blairsville; several nieces
and
nephews also survive.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the
Cochran
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenney Beavers, and Rev. Evan Hughes
officiating
and a eulogy by Mr. Tim Collins. Music
was provided by Mt. Pleasant First Church Choir. Pallbearers
were Troy Dyer, Ronnie Kelley,
Charles Brown, Ervin Plott, Larry Helton and Jerry Roberts. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Hughes,
Dale Tanner, Quinton Holbrooks, Reid Colwell, Evan Patterson, Junior
Taylor,
Denver Garrett, Scotty Poole and Doug Hughes.
Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant First Baptist church Cemetery.
In lieu of
flowers the family suggests donations be made in Ronnie’s memory to Mt.
Pleasant First Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
The family
received friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 PM until
9:00 PM.

Robert
Phillips, age 82, of Young Harris, GA, passed away November 7, 2009 at Chatuge Regional Hospital in Hiawassee,
Georgia.
Robert was born on May 28, 1927 in Union County, GA, to the late Emory
and
Flossie Phillips. He was a member of Many Forks Baptist Church
and a WWII
Army Veteran. Robert was preceded in death by brother, Richard
Phillips,
sisters, Elenore Phillips and Barbara
Fry.
Survivors
include:
wife, Pearl Phillips of the home, daughter, Carrie Phillips of
Hiawassee, GA,
daughter & son-in-law, Sharon & Vaughn Elliott of Murphy, NC,
son,
Alvin Phillips of Blairsville, GA, brothers, Roy Phillips of
Blairsville, GA
and Ronald Phillips of Young Harris, GA, sisters, Ruth Queen of Hoschston, GA and Wanda Crisp of Murphy, NC,
granddaughters,
Winter Elliott, Ashley Mull and Kayla Phillips, grandson, Vaughn
Michael
Elliott, great granddaughter, Kamryn
Ashley Mull and
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM from
Many Forks
Baptist Church with Rev. R.L. Martin officiating. Music was
provided by
Troy Phillips. Burial was in many forks Baptist Church
Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were, Roger Phillips, Junior Phillips, Brandon Hogsed, John Gibson, Jimmy Chastain and David
Crisp.
