mr. alan maclean

 

Mr. Alan MacLean, age 72, of Blairsville, GA formerly of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on Monday November 6, 2006.  Mr. MacLean was born on June 20, 1934 in Long Island, NY, the son of the late Norman Daniel MacLean and the late Betha S. Shor MacLean.  Mr. MacLean retired in 1993 from the St. Petersburg police Dept. after 21 years of service.  He was a veteran of the USAF of the Korean War.  He was a member of the Korean War Veteran’s Assoc. Sunshine Chapter, The Police Benevolent Assc., Pi kappa Phi, and Psi Chi Franternities.  He was a Graduate of Admiral Farragut Academy, St. Petersburg Jr. College, The Florida Southern College (BS Degree), The Sam Houston State University (MA Degree).  He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman “Sonny” MacLean

Surviving Mr. MacLean are his loving wife, Patti Miller MacLean of Blairsville; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Shauna MacLean of Sydney Australia; one daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Rick Marcott of Largo, FL; two grandchildren, Malia Flenady-MacLean and Aaron Marcott.

Memorial services were held on Friday November 10, 2006 at 12 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Steven Miller officiating.  Military honors were presented by the North GA Honor Guard.

mrs. burma o. walker

 

Mrs. Burma O. Walker, age 82, of Blairsville, formerly of Marietta, died November 4, 2006.

Survivors include her husband Walter W. Walker; son, Phil Walker; and a daughter Kathy Jessie, all of Blairsville.

The family received friends on Wednesday from 11-12:30 p.m.  Funeral services took place from the chapel of Georgia Memorial park Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Tom Lee officiating.
