mr. phillip mark ford

 

Mr. Phillip Mark Ford, age 43, of Ford Rd., Blairsville, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 1999 in the Union General Hospital following a sudden illness.  Mr.  Ford was born on January 1, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan the son of William Thomas Ford and Marie Lucille Franklin Ford.  He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church Michigan.  He had lived in the Blairsville area for the last several years.

Surviving Mr. Ford are his wife Linda Ford; one son, Steven Ford of Blairsville; two daughters, Sharyn Ford and Shannon Ford, both of Mt. Clemons, Michigan; father, Rev. William Thomas Ford and mother, Marie Lucille Franklin Ford; three brothers and sister-in-laws, Larry and Brenda Ford of Mt. Clemons, Michigan, Mike and JoAnn Ford of Jacksonville FL, Keith and Roberta Ford of Blairsville; one grandson, Leon Bauer of Mt. Clemons; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at 11 am from the chapel of the Mountain View Funeral Home with the rev. Ronnie Abernathy and Rev. Hubert Legg officiating.  Special music was presented by the Pleasant Grove Choir.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Larry Ford, Mike Ford Keith Ford, Jason Ford, Daniel Ford, and Skip Payne.  Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

ms. nina lee cawthon hammock

 

Ms. Nina Lee Cawthon Hammock, age 95, of Blairsville, passed away on Monday, November 15, 1999 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.  Ms. Hammock was born on May 19, 1904 in Newton County, GA the daughter of the late Lenord D. Cawthon and the late Sarah Biggers Cawthon.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward N. Hammock in 1983 and also a son, Julius Henry Hammock in 1992.  She was a member of The glad Tidings assembly of God in Jonesboro, GA.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Drussilla Maddox of Blairsville; one sister, Bobby Steward of Florida; three grandchildren, Julius Wayne Hammock of Jonesboro, Brenda Sue Green of Ackworth, Larry Andrew Hammock of Duluth; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at 2 pm from the Living Water Assembly of God in Riverdale, GA with the Rev. Larry Hammock officiating.  Special music was presented by Brenda Sue Green.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Wayne Hammock, Jr., Jamie Hammock, Scott Hammock, Brandon Hammock, Adrin Lancaster, and Charley Blalock.  Interment followed in the Sherwood memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro GA.

ms. adele andrews brazitis kreder

 

Ms. Adele Andrews Brazitis Kreder, age 77, of Blairsville passed away on Monday, November 15, 1999 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.  Ms. Kreder was born on February 14, 1922 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late Walter Andrews and the late Anna Gibbs Andrews.  She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blairsville.

Surviving Ms. Kreder are one daughter, Nancy Robertson of Blairsville; two sons, Frank Barzitis of Belchertown, MA and Michael Barzitis of Sparta, NY; one sister, Helen Baltrus of Quitman, GA; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services were held on Thursday, November 18, 1999 at 11 am from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Tim Gadziala officiating.  Interment followed in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville was in charge of the arrangements.
