Mrs.
Edith Denton Chambers, age 92, of Blairsville, GA, passed away on
November 16,
2009 at her home.
Mrs.
Chambers was born on August 25, 1917 in Towns County,
GA, to the late Doll and Myrtle Eller Denton.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her
husband, Julius Chambers.
Survivors
include: sons & daughters-in-law, Kermit &
Margie Chambers of Blairsville, GA, and Larry & Johanna Chambers of
Blairsville, GA; brother, George Denton of Charleston, SC; sisters,
Ethel
Everett of Blairsville, GA, and Opal Buchannan of Brevard, NC;
grandchildren
Kirk Chambers, Doug chambers, Angie Dills, Tyson chambers, Kevin
Chambers,
Vanna Chambers; great grandchildren, Kade Dills, Owen Chambers, Payton
Chambers, Laken Chambers.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the
Chapel of
Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Wofford Kelley and Rev. Brent Chatham
officiating. Music was provided by Wofford
and Sarah
Kelley and Rita Carr. Pallbearers were
Kirk chambers, Doug Chambers, Tyson Chambers, Kevin Chambers, Aaron
Dills and
Dean Everett. Burial was in Union Memory
Gardens.

Vernon
Calving Reece, age 78, of Woodstock, formerly of Marietta, died
Tuesday,
November 17. Funeral services were held
Friday, November 20 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Collins funeral Home in
Acworth
with Rev. Bill Honaker officiating.
Interment was in Rollin Hills Memory Gardens.
Mr. Reece
was a native of Union County and lived most of his
life in Cobb county.
He was a brick mason and owned and operated Vernon Reece
Contractor Co.
Mr. Reece
was preceded in death by his wife Betty. Survivors
include his son Stephen Reece of Adairsville;
daughters: Cynthia Reece, Woodstock, Lorri McClure, Acworth and Penny
Westbrook, Acworth; brothers: Verlon Reece, Kennesaw, James Reece,
Marietta and
Rex Reece, Rome; sisters: Everett Hamby, Adairsville, Sue Wright,
Ranger,
Bobbie Honaker, Blairsville, Brenda Spiva, Lavonia; grandchildren:
Melissa
Porter, Cody Reece and Brett Silvey; great grandchildren: McKaiden
Reece, McKya
Reece and Mya Porter. The family
received friends Thursday, November 19 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral

Mr.
George
Miles Albertson Jr. age 84 of Gibbs Rd., Blairsville passed away on
Saturday,
November 21, 2009 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Albertson was born on September 5, 1925
in West Palm Beach, FL, the son of the late George Albertson Sr. and
the late
Neva Gruber Albertson. He was a veteran
of the US navy of WWII. He was a loving
husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing
and boating. Mr. Albertson was a member
of St. Clare’s Episcopal Church.
Surviving Mr.
Albertson are his loving wife, Mary Lou Brown Albertson of Blairsville,
two
sons and daughters-in-law, David and Andrea Albertson of West Palm
Beach, FL,
Stephen and Robin Albertson of Blairsville, four grandchildren, five
great
grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial
service will be held at a later date in West Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family
requests
that memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, PO Box 494, Hiawassee,
GA 30546
in memory of Mr. Albertson.

Frans
Bosman, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at his residence in
Blairsville, GA, under the care of Hospice.
He was born to Dutch parents in Java, Indonesia in 1930. the family
immigrated to the U.S. locating in Jacksonville, Florida.
He attended local schools graduating from
Landon High School in 1948, and furthered his education attending
Jacksonville
Jr. College and the University of Florida.
Frans was
employed as Superintendent of construction and
Maintenance for Standard Oil company, Volkswagen-Southeastern division,
and
Union Carbide. White at the latter, he
worked in conjunction with cryogenics.
His work brought him much pleasure.
He is
survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Donna Carlin
Bosman; two daughters, Vickie Camper of Gainesville, FL, and Susan
Moore of
Dawsonville, GA; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to Regency Hospice of Hiawassee, Georgia

Elizabeth
passed away Saturday morning, November 14, 2009, at her home after an
extended
illness. Elizabeth was born in Union
County, June 1, 1929, to Emory and Irene Coker Brown.
After retiring from Pfitzer (sic)
Pharmaceuticals in Atlanta, she moved back to the mountains of North
Georgia.
Preceding
her in death were her husband Joe Morgan and her
father Emory Brown.
She is
survived by her mother Irene Coker Brown, sisters,
Deanna Brown of Cumming, Claudia Todd, Sarah pertain, Wanda Gibson and
Evelyn
Lamar of Blairsville, brothers Melvin Brown and Farris Brown of
Blairsville and
many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
A family
memorial service will be held at a later date.
