Mr. James "Jamie" Michael
Hunter, age 47, of Atlanta, GA, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012,
at his
home. Jamie was the son of James Jasper Hunter and Eleanore Noonan.
He left behind many grieving family
members, friends and colleagues whose lives he impacted profoundly. For the past 6-1/2 years he was an employee
of NCR Corporation in Suwanee, GA, where he managed approximately $15M
in
revenue received by the company to cover freight expenses.
He worked diligently at his job and was
highly regarded by senior management.
There was never a project or task which he did not take
seriously and
perform to his utmost. he also acted as
manager for a number of employees, who all looked up to him for career
and
personal guidance.
Outside of work, James was the court
appointed guardian for his cousin, Kenneth Walker, and James's concern
and love
the his cousin was no less that if they had been brothers.
He also acted as caregiver for his father,
and in recent months while he convalesced in a rehab center following a
fall,
James made nightly visits to see him and check on his progress. He regularly voiced concern for other family
members and friends. he never spoke
highly of himself but any of us who knew him at NCR would quickly speak
of his
attentiveness to his family, which in this day and age is often lacking.
James was well educated, with
several bachelor's and masters degrees, and held many years of
experience with
various companies before coming to NCR.
He dreamed of writing screenplays and TV shows.
He also enjoyed home improvement projects,
most of which he took on himself and would not rest until he had
completed to
his total satisfaction.
For his colleagues at NCR, James was
the one they went to with anything from problems with a computer to
issues with
a co-worker. They will remember him with
love and affection and will always wish they had more time with him. He will be greatly, greatly missed.
James is survived by father, James
J. Hunter; mother, Eleanor Noonan; brother, Kris Kimmy, cousins and
several
nieces and nephews.
