mr. frank isador emerine

 

Mr. Frank Isador Emerine Jr., age 86, of Emerine Rd., Blairsville passed away on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at his home following an extended illness.  Mr. Emerine was born on Nov. 15, 1919 in Sullivan, Indiana, the son of the late Frank Emerine Sr. and the late Lillian Eckert Emerine.  He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union Local 123.  Mr. Emerine was a member of the House of Prayer.

Surviving Mr. Emerine are his loving wife of sixty-six years, Joyce Barry Emerine of Blairsville, one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Robert Lanham of Clay, WVA, two sons and daughters-in-laws, Frank Emerine III and his wife Nancy of Brandon, FL, Barry and Diane Emerine of Blairsville, five grandchildren, Janet Eastham, Doug Emerine, Stacy Raper, Jace Emerine and Michael Lanham, seven great-grandchildren, Kyle Eastham, Hunter Emerine, Kaley Raper, Michael Raper III, Zachery Raper, Brandon Lanham and Cassidy Lanham, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 at 6 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Helton officiating.  Special music was presented by Mindy Combs.  After the services in Blairsville, Mr. Emerine was taken to the Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, FL, where a visitation was held on Sunday evening.  Interment and graveside services were held on Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the New Hope Cemetery in Brandon, FL.

mrs. nadean ediith davenport

 

Mrs. Nadean Edith Davenport, age 80, of Blairsville, GA, passed away Monday, December 12, 2005 at Union County Nursing Home.  Mrs. Davenport was born Monday, May 4, 1925 in Cherokee County, NC, to the late Elijah Hughes and the late Tisha Beavers Hughes.  A member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rufus, Elbert, Arnold and Tommy Hughes; granddaughter, Tina Chance Mowry; great granddaughter, Jessica Mowry; and son-in-law, Gene Chance.

Survivors include: husband, Robert Davenport; son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Martha Davenport; daughter, Geraldean Chance and son and daughter-in-law, J.L. and Jane Davenport, all of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Elmer and Sherry Davenport of Seneca, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, H.B. and Linda Davenport; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie McDonald and sister, Rose King, all of Blairsville; sister, Leona Ferguson of Franklin, NC; grandsons: Brian Davenport, Bret Davenport, Dale Chance, Joey Davenport, Jonathan Davenport, Mekiah Davenport and Justine Davenport; granddaughters, Shelia Partin, Sherry Langston, Julie Davenport, Janie Farist and Tammy Beatty; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 2 PM from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Hughes, Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. Ronnie Dilbeck officiating.  Music was provided by Mt. Zion Baptist Church Choir and Julie Davenport.  Interment followed in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were the following gentlemen: Brian Davenport, Bret Davenport, Justin Davenport, Joey Davenport, Tony Davenport, Eddie Thornton and Dale Chance.  The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday.

mrs. diane marie davis kirksey

 

Mrs. Diane Marie Davis Kirksey, age 47, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2005.  Mrs. Kirksey was born Friday October 3, 1958 in Duval County, Florida to Eugene Davis and Margaret Parmenter Davis.  She was a member of Blairsville First Baptist Church and a member of the Homebuilders Sunday School Class.  Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Kirksey, in 1998.

Survivors include: son, Robert Kirksey of Athens, Georgia; mother and step-father, Margaret and Rev. Bob Todd of Dahlonega, Georgia; father, Eugene Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; step-son and daughter-in-law, Darin and Angie Kirksey of Jacksonville, Florida; step-daughter, Karen lamb of Jacksonville, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Anita and rev. Raymon Prince of Dahlonega, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Teresa Davis of Columbus, Georgia; and half-brother, Gene Davis of Jacksonville, Florida.  Six grandchildren also survive.  Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 16, 2005 at 11 AM from the First Baptist Church Of Blairsville with the Rev. Bob Todd and Rev. Raymon Prince officiating.  Music was provided by Minister R. Terry Hooper.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Ben Arndt, Andrew Prince, Hunter Collins, Darin Kirksey, and Michael Brooks.  Interment followed in Union Memory Gardens.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-8, Thursday, December 15.
