Mrs.
Agnes Parker, age 63, of Suches, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 17, 2001
at her home.
Survivors
include her husband, Randell Parker; son, Teddy Parker of Atlanta, GA;
brothers, William Eley Marr of Lawrenceville, GA, Charlie Marr of Fayetteville,
GA; sisters, Sarah Tritt of Cumming, GA and Patsy Marr Long of McCaysville, GA.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at 11 am from the Chapel of the
Henry Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Renny Ryder and Rev. Paul Tritt
officiating. Music by Callie Mae Miller. Serving as pallbearers were William Marr,
Charlie Marr, Pat Long, Eddie Marr, Robbie Woody and Joe Lawrence, Honorary pallbearers were J.D. Long and Bobby
Woody. Interment followed in the Coopers
Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr.
Warren Adams, age 77, of Blairsville, GA, passed away Thursday, December 20,
2001, in Union General Hospital.
Mr. Adams
was a native of Robbinsville, NC, but had lived in Blairsville for the past 47
years. He was a son of the late Will and
Martha (Smith) Adams. Mr. Adams was a
retired school bus driver with Union County Schools. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist
Church, Young Harris Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Lodge #218, Grand Lodge
of Georgia Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Young Harris Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving
are: his wife of 47 years, Louise Adams of the home; son and daughter-in-law,
Billy and Tutie Donaldson of Blairsville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jackie
and Judy Adams of Blairsville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Frank
Wimpey of Herndon, VA and daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Peter Torres of
Port St. Lucie, FL; sister-in-law, Neowne Adams of Robbinsville, NC; ten
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also
survive.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, December 22, 2001, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of
Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Hood and Rev. Ray Potts
officiating. Music was by the Faith
Singers. Pallbearers were: Keith
Donaldson, Jonathon Adams, Jason Byers, Eric Byers, William Wayne Adams and Coy
Adams. Burial was in Pleasant Grove
Baptist Church Cemetery with graveside rites given by Young Harris Independent
Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #218.

Mrs.
Susie Lance Brown, age 74, of Blairsville, GA, passed away Sunday, December 16,
2001, in Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
Mrs.
Brown was born in Fannin County, GA, on Thursday, December 30, 1926, a daughter
of the late Juan Lance and Kate Ledford Lance.
She was a lifelong resident of this area, and been a beautician. Mrs. Brown was a member of First United
Methodist Church of Union County.
Surviving
are her husband of 54 years, Clayton Brown, of Blairsville; son and
daughter-in-law, Gary C. and Maria Brown, of Canton, GA; daughter, Edwina B.
Born, of Blairsville; granddaughter, Kristi Brown, of Houston, TX; grandson,
Clay Brown, of Canton, GA; grandson, Chad B. Rich and grandson, Trinity L.
Rich, both of Blairsville; great grandsons: Lance and Cayden Rich, also of
Blairsville; many friends and other relatives also survive.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, December 18, 2001, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of
Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Ryan Seawright officiating. Special music was presented by Louise DeLong,
Susie Phillips, and Sarah Kelley. The
following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Keith Rogers, Donnie Hutson, Bill
Parker, Danny Kendrick, Levi Kendrick, and Michael Plott. Interment was in Union Memory Gardens
Cemetery.
In lieu
of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made to The
Arthritis Foundation.
