linda sue swain

 

Miss Linda Sue Swain, age 60, of Robertson Circle, Blairsville passed away on November1, 2007 in Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega following an extended illness.  Miss Swain was born on December 4, 1946 in Pahokee, FL, the daughter of the late Harry Lee Swain and the late Jessie Mae Henderson Swain.  Linda was a very special person who loved everyone and anyone she met became a friend.  Linda was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Miss Swain are one sister and brother-in-law, Gay and Andy Jaslowski of Blairsville; two brothers and sisters-in-law Harry and Lorretta swain of palm Beach County, FL, James and Nancy Swain of Savannah, GA; nieces and nephews, Cheryl Jaslowski of Blairsville, Michael and Chie Swain of San Jose, CA, mark Swain of palm Beach County, FL, Michele Jackson of Palm Beach County, Jason Swain of NJ; several grand nieces, nephews; many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Dr. Phillip Meeks officiating.  Interment will follow in the Meadow Hills Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in Miss Swain’s memory.

major wendell henry foster

 

Major Wendell Henry Foster, age 76 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his home.  Wendell was born Friday, December 19, 1930 in Cobb County, GA to the late William Henry and Flora Warren Foster.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a life member of Military Officers and Air Force Association.

Survivors include: son, William H. “Bill” Foster of Ellijay, GA; son, Gregory S. Foster of Sugar Hill, GA; son, John W. Foster of Duluth, GA; daughter, Nancy Y. Foster of Pacifica, CA, and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 1 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Parris, and Rev. Randy Hughes officiating.  Interment was in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.  Pallbearers were Neil Wright, Donnie Ledford, Cole Sullivan, Thomas Grissom, Dennis Bixby and David Hatcher.
