marguerite agnes lemley kirkwood
Mrs.
Marguerite Agnes Lemley Kirkwood, age 88, of Blairsville, GA, passes away
Saturday, February 10, 2001, at her home following an extended illness.
A native
of Wetzel County, West VA, Mrs. Kirkwood was born Monday, December 16, 1912, to
Jefferson Davis Lemley and Elizabeth Hunt Lemley. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Harold Paul Kirkwood.
Survivors
include a son, Mark Tuttle, of Mineral Bluff, GA; a daughter, Marcia Lazaroff,
of McCaysville, GA; sister, Freada Phipps, of Burton, W. VA; 7 grandchildren, several
great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

“ed” oliver morris, sr.
Mr.
Edward “Ed” Oliver Morris, Sr. age 60, of 3247 Forest Circle, Blairsville, GA
died Sunday, February 11, 2001 at Atlanta Medical Center.
Funeral
services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Vance memorial Chapel in Columbus, GA
with Rev. John Rigby officiating.
Interment followed at Riverdale Cemetery.
Mr.
Morris was born January 27, 1941 in Columbus, GA, the son of the late Raymond Morris
and Gussie Jane Lee Morris. He was
former owner of a Hair Style Shop and an Honorary Member of the American
Legion.
Mr.
Morris is survived by daughters: Sondra Adkins of Blairsville, GA, Jeani Lee
Morris of Portdale, GA; sons: Ed Morris, Jr. of Blairsville, GA, George Gregory
Morris of Blairsville, GA; sisters: Bertha Bratton of Phoenix City, AL, Jean
Mears and Jane Rhian, both of Columbus, GA; nine grandchildren.
