MR. thomas w. leonis

 

Mr. Thomas W. Leonis, age 70, of Roberts Rd., Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at his home following an extended illness.  Mr. Leonis was born on March 20, 1931 in Ilion, NY, the son of the late Samuel Leonis and the late Evelyn Price Leonis.  Mr. Leonis was retired from the US Navy with over twenty-one years of service.  He had made his home in Blairsville for the past nineteen years, moving here from Brooksville, FL.

Surviving Mr. Leonis are his loving wife of forty-eight years, Cynthia L. Archibald Leonis of Blairsville; one son: Paul E. Leonis of Palm Lake, CO; one daughter: Diane Shull of Zephyrhills, FL; Seven brothers and sisters, two grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.

mrs. madeleine jeanete langston wagner

 

Mrs. Madeleine Jeanette Langston Wagner, age 88, of Stonehenge Drive, Blairsville, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2001 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness.  Mrs. Wagner was born on Oct. 14, 1912 in Kakabeka Falls, Canada, the daughter of the late William Langston and the Late Myrtle Langston.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wagner.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blairsville.

Surviving Mrs. Wagner are one son and daughter-in-law, Mel and Gloria Hoffman, Blairsville; one grandchild, Billie Jean Fryer, Jacksonville, FL; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced.  Interment will follow in the Myrtle Hills Memorial park Cemetery in Tampa, FL.  In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to The Towns-Union Humane Society, P.O. Box 1252, Blairsville, GA. 30514 in Mrs. Wagners’ Memory.
