Mrs.
Cleo Nix King, are 86, of Blairsville, passed away early Sunday
morning, August
31, 2003 in the Chatuge Regional Hospital.
Mrs.
King was born in Union County on August 25, 1917, a daughter of John
and
Kathryn Dyer Nix. Mrs. King was a long
time resident of Union County, a homemaker and
member
of Old Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors
include her husband, Rouse King, of the home; son, Johnny King and
daughter,
Shirley Mitchell, both of Blairsville; sister, Flo Turner of Rockmart;
grandchildren; Chris, Curtis, Buddy, Matthew and Daniel King; Angie
Bridges and
Robin Seabolt. Seven great-grandchildren
also survive.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at 2:00 pm from the Old
Liberty
Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Chatham officiating.
Music was by the Kelley Trio.
Serving as Pallbearers were Paul
Wigley, Ronald Dyer, Eugene Bridges, Gary Harkins, Eric England and
Clyde
Collins. Interment was in the church
cemetery.
Cochran
Funeral Home of Blairsville was in charge of arrangements.

Mr.
William Rudcoff, age 90, of Wesley Mountain Drive, Blairsville, passed
away on
Tuesday, September 2, 2003 in the Union General Hospital following a
brief
illness.
Mr.
Rudcoff was born on June 2, 1913 in moose Creek, Ontario Canada, the
son of the
late Nicholas Rudcoff and the late Vera Boyko Rudcoff.
He was a veteran of the merchant
Marines. Mr. Rudcoff was a member of the
First Baptist Church in Unaka, NC. He
was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Burns Rudcoff.
Surviving
Mr. Rudcoff are his loving wife, Delena Evitt Rudcoff of Blairsville;
one
daughter, Patricia Myers of Mt. Laurel, NJ; one sister, Katherine
Laraby of
Messena, NY; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; Survivors
Memorial
services were held on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 11 a.m. from the
Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Barney, Rev. Vickie McVey and Rev. Jimmy
Tanner officiating. Interment
will follow at a later date in
Canada. In lieu of flowers if you wish,
the family requests that memorials may e made to Branan Lodge
Celebration of
service in Mr. Rudcoff’s memory.

Mr.
C.Y. Preston Turner, age 81, of Blairsville, passed away Tuesday
morning,
September 2, 2003, at his home.
Mr.
Turner was born Wednesday, May 3, 1922 in Union County, a son of the
late John
Jarrett Turner, Sr., and Nola Nix Turner.
He had lived in Union County most of his life and was a member
of Old
Liberty Baptist Church. HE was a retired
school teacher and a World War II veteran of the Southwest Pacific,
serving for
seven years in the army Medical Corps and receiving four Battle Stars. He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Price and Edward Turner and a step-granddaughter, Michelle Born.
Survivors
include his wife, Lorena Nix Turner of the home; two step-daughters,
Patricia
and Sandra Matherson; sisters, Roma Sue Collins of Blairsville and
Sybil Owenby
of Flowery Branch, GA; brothers, John J. Turner, Jr. and Randall
Turner, both
of Blairsville, Harry Turner of Roma, GA., and Lon H. Turner of
Lilburn, GA;
three step-grandsons, David, Andy and Chris Matherson also survive
along with
many other relatives and a host of friends.
A
Memorial Service was held at Shady Grove Methodist Church at 2:30 PM,
Sunday,
September 7, 2003 with Rev. Bob Born officiating. Music
was provided by John Nix and Sam
Ensley. Military honors were by the
North Georgia Honor Guard.

Mrs.
Susanne Marie June, age 58 of Wesley Mountain Drive, Blairsville,
passed away,
Monday, September 1, 2004 in the Union General Hospital following an
extended
illness. Mrs. June was born on September
8, 1944 in Hackettstown, NJ, the daughter of the late Morris Gordon
June and
the late Helen Elizabeth Pierce June.
Mrs. June was a member of the House of Prayer Church.
Surviving
Mrs. June are a daughter, Catherine Marie Venegas of Marietta; three
grandchildren; a care giver and great friend, Samantha Wright of
Blairsville;
her social worker and friend, Kathy Farthing of NC; and all of the
other
friends that she made at the Dialysis Center and a host of friends at
Branan
Lodge also survive.
A
memorial service and interment will be held at a later date in new Jersey and will be announced.
