Mrs. Ruth
Garnet Hunter, age 67, of Blairsville, GA, passed away Sunday, September 23,
2001, in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mrs.
Hunter was born in

daughter-in-law, Bill and Rita Holloway; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and
Michael Cook, all of Blairsville; sisters: Hester Tidwell, Betty Riley, Linda
Welch, Wasane Soloman, Lavona Twitty, and Pauline Boyd, all of Missouri; and
brother, Frank McDaniel, also of Missouri; four grandchildren: Laura Stanley,
Jason Cook, Christ Holloway, and Justin Holloway, all of blairsviller; three
great grandchildren: Colton Stanley, Kyndal Stanley, and Laken Cook, also
survive, also with many other relatives and friends.

PATRICIA DIANE GRIBBLE HELTON
Mrs.
Patricia Diane Gribble Helton, age 47, of Maryville, TN, formerly of
Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2001, at her home in
Maryville following an extended illness.
Mrs. Helton was born on
Surviving
Mrs. Helton are: her mother, Ina Jones Gribble of Blue Ridge; several aunts,
nieces, and cousins, and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, from the funeral home chapel
with the Rev. Waymon Lovell and Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins officiating. Special music was presented by Hubert and
Betty Legg. The following gentlemen
served as pallbearers: Larry Lunsford, Richard Crowell, Tim McMillian, Bobby
Cantrell, Wade McMillian and Tony McMillian.
Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs.
Virginia t. Boeckel, age 79, of My Creek Rd., Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2001, at her home
following an extended illness. Mrs.
Boeckel was born on August 9, 1922 in Delta, PA, the daughter of the late Ross
Taylor and the late Verna Redmond Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Boeckel, Sr., in
1999. Mrs. Boeckel was a member of the
Ebenezer Methodist Church in Wrightesville, PA.
Surviving
Mrs. Boeckel are one son and daughter-in-law, James and Ester Boeckel, of
Blairsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith Woods and Timmothy Hershner of
Oldsmare, FL, two brothers: Ronald Taylor and Carol Taylor, both of York, PA,,
two sisters: Irma Dettinger and Betty Heffner, both of PA, four grandchildren:
Laurel Wilson of Palm Harbor FL, Holly Clark of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph Burke of
Minorsville, PGA, James Burke of Dallstown, PA; five great grandchildren; many
other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial
services and interment will be held from the Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in
Palm Harbor, FL at a later date and will be announced.
