War of 1812 (Creek Indian War), Pvt., Capt. William Varner's Co of Dragoons, Maj. Frederick Freeman's Squadron of Cavalry, Georgia Militia, entered service 20 Aug 1813, discharged 29 Jan 1814 at Fort Hawkins (now in Macon, Bibb Co, GA).
Also believed to have served as Pvt. (volunteered under Gen. Floyd), Capt. Wm. Patrick's Co, 29th Reg., Morgan Co, Ga Militia, from 16 Jul 1814 to [date of discharge unknown], and as an Ens., Morgan Co, GA, militia, from 1 May 1821 to 16 May 1822.
Henry King was probably the brother of Lewis KING, who died early in 1815, in Morgan Co, GA, as a result of illness or wounds received in the War of 1812 (Creek Indian War), and of Mary (KING) VINING, wife of Benjamin VINING, who
served as administrator of the estate of Lewis KING, deceased. Their mother is believed to have been Susannah KING, widow, of Burke Co, GA, later Baldwin/Morgan Co, GA. Henry KING married, first, 4 Dec 1817 in Morgan Co, GA, Sarah S. ZACHRY/ZACHARY, daughter of Abner ZACHRY/ZACHARY of Morgan Co, GA. Sarah died 2 Mar 1823 in Henry Co, GA, and Henry married, second, 12 Dec 1823 in Putnam Co, GA, Nancy (BROWN) WILLIAMS, widow of Wiley WILLIAMS. Nancy died 15 Sep 1846 in Barbour Co, AL, and Henry married, third, 1 Dec 1847 near Society Hill, Macon Co, AL, Abi (EILAND) HITCHCOCK, daughter of Judge Stephen EILAND, and widow of John Gibbs HITCHCOCK
