ADAMS, Dennis Born 1775 Pitt County, NC Died 1829 Lowndes County, GA Dennis Adams served in Capt. Tooke's Detachment; he was at Fort Mitchell Hartford on the Okmulgee River. He is listed on the muster roll of a detachment on Indian patrol 9 Nov 1814 - 22 Nov 1814. Thomas, 18 June 1812, discharged Savannah 15 January 1815. Received bounty land in Alabama based on his service and his application is on file. Lewis' company. This was during 1813-1814. C. married Nancy Horton, also b. abt the same time in N.C. They were m. in Laurens, S.C. by a man named Madden. Menoah and Nancy and son John Horton SAXON moved to Franklin Co. GA. early in the 1800's. Menoah was in the 1812 War and was at Fort Hawkins, GA. Menoah was honorably discharged. He died in 1815 or 1816. I do not know where he is buried.
