Virginia Evelyn Woodard was the daughter of John and Melissa Todd Woodard. She was born on May 23, 1892 in Waycross GA. , she died on March 27, 1988 in Flint , MI and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, MI.  John and Melissa had another daughter, Minnie Woodard.

Virginia Evelyn Woodard was married to Andrew E. Hart on August 19, 1911 .  Andrew was born May 5, 1886 in West Branch, MI and died May 21, 1927 in Macintosh Co., GA.

Andrew and Virginia had five children:

John Murray born May 2, 1914 in Waycross Ga. and died on August 28, 1972 in West Branch, MI.  He married Viva Noffsinger and they had no children.

Dorothy Lee Hart was born April 13, 1916 in Waycross GA.   She married John Hoy. They had two children, Virginia and David.  Dorothy died on February 11, 1993 in Flint , MI.

Their third child was Juanita who was born on January 18, 1919 , in Glenville , GA.   Juanita was married to Kenard Jenkins and they had five children: Larry, Rosetta, Adie Ann, Mildred, Karen and Rebecca.

Their next daughter was Opal Ester who was born on March 13, 1921 in Glenville , GA.   Opal was married to John R. Pickens and they had four children: Nancy C., Ruth Ann, John R. Jr. and Shirley Faye. Opal died October 17, 1999 in Columbus , Ohio .

Andrew and Virginia 's last child was Grace Elizabeth, she was born on October 22, 1924 in Glenville , GA. Grace never married but adopted a niece, Dana M.

Andrew and Virginia have many great grand, great-great and great-great-great grand children.

Between the years of 1910 and 1916 Virginia lost her sister Minnie, her father John and then her mother Melissa. Then on May 21, 1927 she lost her husband Andrew Hart, left with five small children and no close family in Waycross she moved to West Branch, MI to live on her husband's family farm to raise her children.

I do not know too much about the Woodard or Todd family. Only that John's father and mother were Ambrose and Eliza Prine Woodard.  Ambrose's father and mother (at this time we think) were Mills and Mary Cannady Woodard. Eliza's father was John Prine.  Melissa's (information found out about Melissa name may have been Meriam Melissa) parents were James and Temperance Stanfield Todd from Tattnall Co., GA.   James' father and mother were Edward D. and Mary Blocker Todd.  Edward's father and mother were William and Ester Dyess Todd.  Temperance Todd's father and mother were John and Mary Spears Stanfield.  John's father was John Stanfield.

My grandmother was truly a very special Southern lady until the day she died.  She was loved by all and she loved all.  Grandma meant a lot to her family who dearly loved her and she loved them. Grandma knew when any of her children, grand children or great-grand children needed her and she was there for them.  I could go on and on about grandma, how great she was and she still is in her families' memories.  Grandma, our Coco , we loved you.
