Obituary for Elizabeth Hart of Warren co, GA From The Buena Vista Argus, (Marion Co, GA) Wednesday morning, April 7 18 80, an obituary for Elizabeth HART JOHNSON:

"Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson was born in Warren Co, Georgia, and died of malaria fever in Marion county, (GA) on the 20th of March, 1880--aged 58. Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of Mr. Barney Hart, so well and favorably known, and joined her hopes and labors for life's realties with those of Mr. Geo S. Johnson, in 1837. In that year the mercy and wonderful love of God crowned her heart and soul with forgiveness for sin, after which she joined the M. E. Church, to which she belonged until her death. Up to near the close of the war she was an active, zealous member of the church, shedding light and imparting comfort upon all whom she met. She moved to Marion county in 1839, and in her new home, she began life anew by reconsecration of soul and membership at Ta zewell, where she despersed joy by her smiles, and assurance by her counsel. Near the close of the war she lost her two oldest sons. That saddened her heart and clouded her mind with grief. These destroyers of human happiness preyed upon her tenderness with unusual pungeney, which with her ended only with her life.

"She leaves a husband and six children --three sons and three daughters--to mourn her death.
