I am trying to locate the maiden name of a wife of Henning W Parerson, Her name was Mary Margaret and they were supposed to have been married in Pulaski Cty and had a daughter Margaret Ann Matilda born about 1875. We are showing him married to a Nancy Fulgham of Dodge Cty in 1872,

Can anyone help with any information about Henning and his wives. Thank you. The name sometimes is listed as Henny.

I descend from John Daniel,RS(1765-1830) private in Capt. Moses Pearson's Comp., 1780-82. and his wife Rebecca Stevens (1781-aft 1820), who migrated from Marlboro Co, SC to Pulaski Co, GA. Per the books "Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia", he was the son of Aaron Daniel and Elizabeth Whitfield, who migrated from Duplin Co, NC to Marlboro Co, SC to Burke Co, GA.

I am planning a trip to Dodge County and know that the DAR chapter has erected a monument (at his grave)for John.

Does anyone know the exact location and name of the cemetery where John Daniel is buried?

Thank you

Missy McPherson

Researching surnames: LOWERY , BURKHALTER, and HUTTO in Telfair, Dodge, Laurens, Montgomery and surrounding counties in GA.

>From census, marriage, and cemetery records, I've been able to place many of the LOWERY families in this area into two main branches. One line is from Andrew LOWERY and Angelany LOFTIN from Jefferson Co, GA. The other line is descended from "Caner" LOWERY and Nancy Helen Maloy. Anyone who would like to exchange information on these lines, please contact me.

My main focus is to find my husband's grandfather, BRYAN (or Byron) LOWERY b. late 1800's and d. abt 1917 in Milan, Telfair County.

He was married to ANNIE BURKHALTER 23 Sep 1911 in Wilcox County, but it is believed Annie was his second marriage and his first wife died leaving two or more small children who went to live with relatives.

Any information would be appreciated.

William Britton JONES Cemetery Restoration Project The William Britton Jones Cemetery, aka Walker, Clark and Taylor Cemetery, is in disrepair: A group of volunteer descendants, collateral relatives and friends have planned the restoration, and will then complete the forming of a standing committee to maintain the cemetery for posterity. A harmonious Working Restoration Party will be the main effort on January 10-12, 2003, Friday, Saturday and ending Sunday with a dedication cemetery vigil. The base of operations will be at Mr. Willie Frank Harrell's place at 278 Golden Road, across from and near the Golden Nursing Home. A number of family historians and researchers will be attending. Participation is also expected by members of the Bay Springs Free Will Baptist Church, and the Wiregrass Genealogical Society. An open forum and casual dinner gathering will be held for participants and their relatives and friends at the Sugarberrys Restaurant outside Eastman, GA, Saturday, January 11, 7:00 PM (Cemetery Restoration Project). From Eastman, take U.S. 341 South 2 1/2 miles, turn left at Golf Cart World onto Pine Bluff Road, and the restaurant is about a half mile at 345 Pine Bluff Road. Rain dates are January 17-19. The cemetery is about five miles East of Eastman off Hwy 46 (past Airport Road) and between Golden Road, on Mr. Glyen Hickman's property. Located in the middle of farming land (Lot #205 in the 16th Land District, La: 31.9817, Lo:83.1469). Our sincere thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Hickman acquiring the land a few years ago and fully supporting the restoration project.

Elizabeth Jane RAFFIELD-FIELDS had three children: (1) Mary Ann FIELDS married Green Jackson TRIPP, (2) Joseph FIELDS married Elizabeth WARREN, and (3) Catherine Margaret FIELDS married William Franklin SWEARINGEN.
