I am seeking information on the JOHNS family that was in Wilkes Co. in the 1820s. GGG-Grandfather John C. JOHNSON married Orrie G. JOHNS on Nov 25, 1823 in Wilkes Co. Her father was John or Johnathan JOHNS. Would appreciate any info I could get on either of these families.

I'm looking for the parents & siblings of Daniel David DAVIS b.6/17/1805,d.9/27/1882,married to Catherine "Elly"; CARSON DAVIS b.1816,d.10/19/1905,both buried at Hebron Meth.Church in Livingston,S.C. I think Daniel David had a brother,Robert C. DAVIS, b.1790-1800,d.1845-1850,married to Abigail____DAVIS.I believe there was a Richard DAVIS b.1760-1765,the "youngest"; son of Evan DAVIS,b.@1702,d.1765 & Mary Emory Williams DAVIS,b.?,d.1780,that was included on the Wilkes Co. tax list 1792-1794,owning 550 acres. I have the name of one son,also named Richard, b.1795,d.?.His grandson,Richard Beauregard DAVIS,married Ella CHARRY, and moved to Orangeburg Co. S.C.They are buried in the same small DAVIS family cemetery in Oburg Co. as Robert C. DAVIS & his wife Abigail.Can any one help me with the Wilkes Co. connection? Thanks for any info.

Anthony GARRARD, born in StaffordCo, VA (ca. 1756), came from NC to WilkesCo, GA after the Revolution. His War service is documented with the DAR. His wife was Elizabeth Greene, with a traceable descent from King Edward I of England through 3 different children, including Edward III. Looking for any family connections or information on Othniel WEAVER. Othniel was born ca. 1750 in Anson, NC and his property on Hill's Creek ended up in Chesterfield, SC (previously Craven, Cheraw and St. Davids districts) before 1784. He removed to The Little River area of Wilkes, GA by 1787 and was in Phillips Mill Baptist Church. He was recorded in Washington, Baldwin and Wilkinson counties before settling in Morgan where he died in 1817. He married first, Sarah HOLLEY the widow of Joel CHIVERS ca. 1783 in Chesterfield, SC with these CHIVERS children: Thomas 1768, Joel 1770, Larkin 1771, Sabrina 1772, Jane1774 and Jamimah 1776. Othniel and Sarah had these WEAVER children: Julius 1785, Hannah 1787, Rachael 1789, William 1791, John 1793, Jane 1795, Lovina 1797 and Johnathan 1800. I am looking for information on William (Buddy) BOHANAN. In 1817, when he was four years old, Buddy was bonded over to John OVERSTREET. There is a story that a couple of years later he fell asleep in a wagon that was stolen and ended up in Newton County, where he later married Jane C. STREET. Any information on Buddy or John Overstreet would be appreciated.

JACKSON, FAVOR, COX, HIGH: Can anyone help with separating the Daniel JACKSON s who lived in Wilkes Co. GA. in the late 1700's and early 1800's? 1st Daniel JACKSON was security for 2nd Daniel JACKSON who married Sarah (Sally) FAVOR dau of Thomas FAVOR. This Daniel 2nd dead without administrator or executor before 1820. This 2nd Daniel married Sally FAVOR in 1799. Was this 1st Daniel JACKSON the man who died in Clark County GA in 1812 and was he the father of the 12nd Daniel? I know this 1st Daniel had a son Samuel JACKSON who married Orrie COX in Wilkes 1811 and then moved to Clark County. A Daniel JACKSON deceased before 1793. Legatees were William, Daniel, Gabriel, Joshua, John, Robert. One Daniel JACKSON was granted land in Wilkes 1784. Believe some of these Daniel Jacksons came from SC. One served in Col. Brandon's Regt. and was from Fairforest District in Union Co. SC. The other Daniel served in the 2nd Regt. in SC until he resigned 1778. One Daniel had a close association with Mark Jackson and one Daniel was married to Mary High when in SC. I need these Daniels separated into families. Can anyone help?

I am seeking information on my ggf, Reuben THOMPSON, who came to Wilkes County from Robeson County, NC with his parents circa 1773. He was born in Bertie County, NC in 1760 or 1765. He was present at the Battle of Kettle Creek, according to DAR records, and has been recognized as a Revolutionary War soldier. He moved to Emanuel County, GA where he had been given a land grant. He resided there until his death in 1850. I am seeking definitive knowledge of his father's name. Our family geneaologist got a little fuzzy on that one. Looking for information on John NORMAN (aprox 1750 - approx 1842) married to Nancy AUSTEN. Believed to have moved to Wilkes county from Virginia after the war on a land grant. I am extremely interested in information on John's parents. Any help would be appreciated.
