Bodie's "Historical Southern Families" states that Jones Kendrick married in 1830 in Wilkes Co Mrs. Nancy M. [Marshall] Powell, nee Nancy Marshall Williams who had previously married John R. Anderson and later Nelson Powell. She was a daughter of Drury and Tabitha [Marshall] Williams. Her brother - William Marshall Williams, my presumed ancestor - married Nancy, surname unknown. Was William M. Williams' wife also an Anderson or a Powell?

Trying to locate other researchers of Booth Fitzpatrick and family. His daughter, Nancy, married John Lanier, and was my gggrandmother.
Looking for father of Polly Swann who mar Robert Whatley, s/o Wharton Whatley prob in Wilkes or Greene Co ca 1810. They then moved to Monroe Co. My Madden family were in North Carolina - John and his daughter Elizabeth m Wharton Whatley. She came on to Ga with Wharton during RW.

I am looking for any info on the BALL family. My gg-father, William BALL, was born in this county about 1834. He was the son of C. and Nancy BALL. He fought in the civil war and was in the G.A.R. When he was much older, he married my gg-mother, Ida BEDWELL, and they lived in Tennessee.

They had 10 children: Lewis Franklin LINDSEY, William LINDSEY, James LINDSEY, Lemuel LINDSEY, John Thomas LINDSEY Jr., Wylie LINDSEY, Wilson LINDSEY, Miche LINDSEY, Sophie LINDSEY, and Julia Ann LINDSEY. Miche m Elbert OZBURN in Jasper Co., Sophie m Archie S. MOSS 18 Nov 1834 in Jasper Co., and Julia Ann m a YANCY. Catherine's mother, Ellendar GILLINGTON CHISM FLEMISTER, b 1792 in VA, d in 1855 in GA, and is buried in the Murder Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Jasper Co. Appreciate any info on any of these family ancestors. Her father, Lewis FLEMISTER, died 1807/08 in Wilkes Co, was one of Gen George Washington's 48 personal body guards for 7 years and was promoted from Sergeant to Captain during that time. Seeking information about John CROSSON (RS) b. abt 1756/58; m. Achsah LEWIS in Fauquier Co., VA.; d. 28 Jan 1838. John CROSSON is listed in Wilkes Co. on the Georgia Pension Roll of 1835. He and his wife Sarah had several children, all possibly born in Wilkes CO., including a son, James, who married Lurana REEVES in Fayette Co., GA. I have some information about the descendants and would like to exhange information with other researchers.
John LEVERETT, b. 04 Dec. 1846, GA, d. 26 Jan 1919, Newton Co, MS, m. Martha "Mattie" JAMES,b. 12 Mar. 1852, Elbert Co, GA, d. 10 Jan. 1926, Newton Co, MS. John's wife's Confederacy pension papers say tha he joined the 15th GA Regiment in Lincoln, Co, GA.in 1861. His papers were lost, but a sworn affidavit by signed by Mrs. Elizabeth ELIOTT and Rob. C. LEVERETT(e)in Wilkes Co, GA, 02 Dec. 1916, say that John served in the Army of VA.,and the 15th GA. and Fayette Lamar was in command. John's own pension application states the same as well informaiotn that he was held prisoner at Rock Island, IL prison for the last year of the War.
