What was their relationship with Benjamin LUKER? Andrew's G-Granddaughter, Lou Ella WOLFE, married Ellis WILSON of ENGLAND, possibly in Aiken County SC. They were my gg-grandparents. I have lots of info to share, including copies of wills and military records.
I am looking for information on James WILLIAMS b. 1757. Specifically trying to find documentation to link him with Theophilus WILLIAMS (son?) b. Dec 1777. "Capt" John Thornton married Rebecah Carter in Wilkes County 5/22/1811. She died in Wilkes Co before 1830. Looking for information on BOTH. (John did remarry in Wilkes Co in 1830 - to Levissa West - and later moved to, and died in, Stewart Co, GA )
Hillery HARTLEY was born in Washington, Ga. in the late 1700's or early 1800's. He married Rhoda PADGETT, also born in Washington. Would appreciate hearing from anyone having any information.
I have the following: George Emory Evans (Abt 1883 - ?) possible of Wilkes County married Edna Lunceford (1891? - 1952 of Wilkes County). They both lived there and had children Dave Edd, Agnes, Allie, Gordon, Roland and Lizzie. I don't know anymore about the Evan's but Edna Lunceford's father was William Walton Lunceford (1857-1910 of Wilkes County) who married someone named Sara (1860 - ?). Their other children were Grover, Macon, Daisy, and Cleo. William Walton Lunceford's parents were William Lunceford (abt 1814-?) and Mary Spratlin Perteet (Perteet was her first husband's name). Their children including those of other marriages were James Samuel, Emma, Cora Lee, Martha, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, William Thomas, Henry, Sarah, John, Mary Jessie, and Susan. Does any of this sound familiar? Please let me know.
An Elias BRYAN married Betsy PERKINS in Wilkes Co. in 1812. An Elias BRYAN from Wilkes CO. won Lot 66, Sec. 3 in Habersham Co. in the 1820 Lottery. An Elias BRYAN appears on the 1820 Wilkes census. Conrad CORNEILSON d. 3 Mar 1795 in Wilkes County, GA. His wife was Jemima UNKNOWN. Any one with information on this family, please contact me! One child, John CORNELISON was b. 1761. He m. Elizabeth UNKNOWN in Rowan County, NC and is said to have served in the Revolutionary War. John d. 1843 in Madison County, IL. John's son, Moses CORNELISON was b. Jun 1783 in Rowan County, NC; m. Margaret 'Peggy' MINGS on 9 Nov 1802 in Madison County, KY and he d. Feb 1827 in Madison County, KY. (John and Elizabeth had 9 children: Moses, Aaron, John, David, Andrew, Daniel, Jemima, and Margaret.) Moses and Margaret had the following children: Nancy, Joseph, John, Margaret, Moses, Anna, Cinthia, Aaron, Jemima Melissa (my ancestor), and Hannah. {I have complete family history for Jemima at the listed.} Hannah married Elijah ALLISON in Feb 1835. I am in need of verifying that he was b. 17 Nov 1818 and was a full-blood Cherokee. I also need to verify that Hannah was a full-blood Choctaw! It is said they traveled on the Trail of Tears to Oklahoma, but that Elijah detoured for a while to IL. He later joined his wife, had 8 children and lived on a Dusty, NM farm that was deeded to them by the USA, because of their Native American heritage. They both died in NM. If anyone can verify or correct this family info, please contact me! I had not known of any Native American heritage in this family line before and so I am anxious to settle the uncertainty of the information I received. Thank you, Heather ajeab@aol.com and heatherb@deseretonline.com
Hello. My name is Glenn T. Wright, of East Orange, New Jersey. I am trying to find information linking Frances McCord to the father of her children (possibly unmarried), William Wright (born 1910, Lincolnton, GA) and Joe William Wright (birthdate unknown). She died in 1935, Lincolnton, GA, and was the wife of Clark Wright, who died in 1949, Lincolnton, GA. Her son, William, is my grandfather, who later married Hattie Fleming. Hattie and William are my father's parents. My father's name is Willie Melvin Wright. William, and his brother Joe, were apparently, and possibly unofficially, adopted by Clark Wright and took his last name. I am ultimately trying to get information on William's biological father, in order to further search back my biological family history. Please let me know if you have any information that might help me. Thanks!

In 1787, my ggg-gf John D. GREER bought land from Abraham and Hannah REDDICK. The property was along Beaverdam Creek which flows into the Ogeechee from the west. John had probably been living there or nearby since the end of the Revolutionary War. The land in question had been in Wilkes County, GA, but at the time of sale it was in Greene County, GA, and later in Hancock County, GA. In 1782 John Greer had married Sarah HUNT, daughter of Nathaniel Hunt and Nancy Reddick. It appears likely that Nancy Reddick was kin to the Abraham Reddick who sold the land. I would like to exchange information about the above people and their kin.
