My Great, Great Grandfather, John Doolin was born in Georgia, 1779 or earlier. He was at least 21 when he migrated to Logan Co., KY. I have a copy of "A Hidden Phase of American History-Ireland's Part in America's Struggle for Liberty". In the footnotes it gives a listing of some of the Irish names of petitioners for land grants of Wilkes Co. and among them is "Doolin". I would like to determine the name of John Doolin's parent(s) if you have any of the Records of Landgrants from that early period that gives any of this information. Thank you for your help. We are researching our ancestors that lived in Wilkes County, Georgia. Especially trying to find information on Jean BARNETT. Possibly her maiden name may have been BERRETT. She married William HAUSE/HAWS, whom I have no information on at this point. They had a son that I know of (my ggg grandfather) named William BARNETT HAUSE/HAWS. Perhaps it could have been BARRETT, I don't know. He was married (their son)on 20 March 1828 in Jones County, GA. So I am guessing that William HAUSE/HAWS and Jean BARNETT/BARRETT would have been married before 1805, possibly late 1700's. We would appreciate any & all the help we can get on finding out more about these ancestors as there is a great deal of information to be filled in. We have information on their son to the present, but no idea of how many children Wm. & Jean had together. Thank you in advance for your time and help with these interesting families.
