Click on the create new user account link on the login box of the chat room (a pop-up form will appear) and fill out the required information. Please be sure to have your pop-up blocker turned off before you try to register. You will receive an email notification when your account is activated. Your account will be activated within 24 hours.
Do you not see a login box for the chat room up above? Do you just see a big gray box with a red X. This could be a java related issue with your computer.You will need to download a copy of the Java™ Virtual Machine in order to use the chat room. You may download Java™ Support for your browser from www.java.com/en. The chat room is a java based applet and this is needed to be able to use the chat room. Also try clear your cookies & delete your temp files on your computer.

I am seeking volunteer chat HOST to help maintain scheduled chats. We have over 550 + chat members in our group. There is a demand for HOSTS on a variety of genealogy topics. If you have an interest in becoming a volunteer chat HOST. You can contact us using the address located below. I then will email you a list of questions to answer. This will be like a short questionnaire. Then I will review your answers to see if you are a candidate for a volunteer chat HOST. Then the other chat HOSTS will review the ones I think would be a good choice. After we discuss things...we will let you know what our decision will be. I welcome all those who might be interested to apply. The volunteer chat HOST can set their own chat schedule.
