The Ball Family descended from Francis Ball of Springfield, Massachusetts, died 1648 : a preliminary survey / compiled by Joseph L. Druse. East Lansing, Mich. : J.L. Druse, 1968. 28 p. Francis Ball (d.1648) immigrated from England to Springfield, Massachusetts, and married Abigail Burt in 1644 (they had two sons, and she married twice more after his death). Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Utah and elsewhere. Includes indexes.

He married c.1662/64 in Connecticut to Abigail Blatchley, who was born c. 1650 in Connecticut and died in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. Her parents were Thomas Blatchley and Susannah Ball. There were six children.
