James Arthur was born in OH about 1813. He married Ruth ----- before 1840. Ruth died about 1850 and James married Drusilla Harrison October 5, 1853 in Putnam County VA. Drusilla was  born about 1827 in VA and died  January 28, 1867 in  Putnam County WV.

9.JOSIAH HARRISON ARTHUR   1.JAMES ARTHUR

 

                Josiah Harrison “Joe” Arthur, a son of James and Drusilla (Harrison) Arthur, was born June 10, 1858 in Putnam County VA (WV). He died in Kanawha County WV and is buried in Asbury Cemetery at Sissonville, WV. He married Priscilla Delilah Hurrman December 31, 1881 in Putnam County. Prissilla, a daughter of John N. and Margaret (Kybart/Walker) Huffman, was born in 1861 in Bedford County VA died  Ju1y 30, 1934 in Kanawha County WV. She is buried in Asbury Cemetery.

10.SOPHRONA ANN ARTHUR    9.JOSIAH HARRISON ARTHUR   1.JAMES ARTHUR

 

            Sophrona Ann Arthur, a daughter of Josiah Harrison “Joe” and Priscilla Delilah (Huffman) Arthur, was born May 1, 1883 in Kanawha County WV and died there October 19, 1953. She married Albert Emerson Summers in Kanawha County Janaury 6, 1899. Albert, a son of John Morris and Nancy Jane (Morris) Summers, was born in Nicholas County WV September 12, 1880 and died in Fayette County WV January 17, 1935. They are buried in the Asbury cemetery in Sissonville, WV.
