1.JOHN BAIRD

 

    John Baird was born in Maryland about 1760 and died in York County

PA in 1818.  He first married Anna Barbara Sailor.  Anna was a

daughter of Ulrich and Elizabeth Marie (Geisi) Sailor.  Anna

apparently died about 1808.  His second wife was Sarah -------.

    John Minand was appointed guardian of John Baird's minor children

in York County Court February 17, 1818, indicating that Sarah had died

prior to that date.

4.ADAM BAIRD     1.JOHN BAIRD

 

    Adam Baird, a son of John and Anna Barbara (Sailor) Baird, was

born in MD in 1786 and died in Monroe County IA March 20, 1859.  He

married Barbara Wilhelm in York County PA.  Barbara, a daughter of

Frederick and Eva Elizabeth (Cramer) Wilhelm, was born in York County

January 8, 1785 and died in Monroe County IA October 8, 1864.

    The family first lived in York County PA.  By 1820, they had moved

to Harrison County VA (WV) and by 1824, they were living in Lewis

County VA (WV). The family left Lewis county in 1856 for Iowa.

    Susan Baird, a daughter of Adam and Barbara (Wilhelm) Baird, was

born in York County PA May 11, 1809.  She married William Law Jr. in

Harrison County VA (WV) December 22, 1826.  William, a son of William

and Mary (Burnside) Law, was born in Harrison County March 7, 1803 and

died in Lewis County WV August 7, 1879.
