1.WILLIAM BUELL BLAGG

 

    William Buell Blagg was born in Wales or in VA March 8, 1740 and

died in Highland County VA in 1828. He married Elizabeth Jane Wilson.

Elizabeth, a daughter of William and Mary Wilson, was born in Augusta

County VA September 26, 1752 and died in Pendleton County VA January

17, 1808.

2.SAMUEL WILSON BLAGG    1.WILLIAM BUELL BLAGG

 

    Samuel Wilson Blagg, a son of William Buell and Elizabeth Jane

(Wilson) Blagg, was born in Albermarle County VA September 30, 1774.

He married Jemima Hempenstall in 1795. Jemima, a daughter of Abraham

and Mary (Wilson) Hempenstall, was born about 1776.

    Samuel was in Pendleton County VA September 6, 1794, when he was

listed in the Muster Roll of Pendleton County Militia. He moved to Ohio

between 1800 and 1806. He was listed as a committeeman in Gallia Colunty

OH in 1810 and pruchased a lot in Jackson, OH in 1810 for $200.

9.JAMES BLAGG     1.WILLIAM BUELL BLAGG

 

    James Blagg, a son of William Buell and Elizabeth Jane (Wilson)

Blagg, was born in Highland County VA January 7, 1794 and died in Upshur

County VA between 1860 and 1770. He married Mary Smallridge. Mary was

born in VA about 1794 and died after 1870.

    The family is listed in the 1850 Lewis County VA census and in the

1860 Upshur County VA census. In the 1870 Upshurc County WV census, Mary

was listed as a widow in the household of her son William Blagg.
