1828. Emily was born in Fluvanna County in 1802.

Champion's will was dated January 2, 1850 and was entered for

probate in Fluvanna County May 27, 1850.

John William Bledsoe, a son of Champion and Emily C. (Lindsay)

[Hackney] Bledsoe, was born in Fluvanna County VA in 1845 and died in

Clay County WV in 1916. He married Matilda Sue Alderson in Monroe

County VA October 5, 1871. Matilda, a daughter of Albert G. and

Matilda Alderson, was born in Monroe County in 1850.

After Matilda died, John married Rosa Delaney. Rosa, a daughter

of Joseph and Louisa V. (Hall) Delane, was born about 1887.

Eudora Bledsoe, a daughter of Jack and Rosa (Dulaney) Bledsoe, was

born January 18, 1887 and died in Clay County July 19, 1980. She

married Edward Duncan Hamrick in Clay County May 15, 1907. Edward, a

son of Morris Maurice and Mary (Frame) Hamrick, was born in Clay

County WV January 4, 1879 and died there May 12, 1924.

Eudora married Floyd O. Ross in Clay County October 8, 1936.

Children of Edward Duncan and Eudora Victoria (Bledsoe) Hamrick.

Douglas in Clay County WV March 29, 1947. Muriel, a daughter of John L. and Myrtle (Hissam) Douglas, was born in Clay County June 29, 1929 and died in Kanawha County WV February 20, 2006.

Lloyd was an US Army veteran of World War II.
