| Amongst the letters and papers in THE BOX were two telegrams. The first is reproduced here, the second was very similar, sent in 1909, also from Detroit, by Edward Hening. Also in THE BOX were the three photos also shown here. Two of them are funeral photos, with ribbons on the flowers reading Our Father and Our Mother respectively. The third photo has, penciled on the back, Mr & Mrs Voss and is clearly the same two people as shown in the funeral photographs. It is possible that Mrs Voss is the unidentified woman on the right in the photo of Frederic and Augusta at the top of that page.
