Chapter House

In 1906, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sons of the American Revolution in Hawaii decided to establish a library of historical reference and lineage books. The Aloha Memorial library is in the basement of the chapter house and now contains more than 2,200 books.

The chapter was named after voyager and navigator, Hawai'l Loa, who sailed more than 2,400 miles on open water in a large canoe from Marquesas Islands in the South Pacific near Tahiti.
