The goal of this site is to make contact with the descendants of Schöndorf; to gather, share and preserve information on the history and genealogy of the village.

Schöndorf was an ethnic German settlement founded 1766 in the Banat Region, formerly part of central Hungary in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It is also known by the Hungarian name Szépfalu.
