P. N. FINCH made a settlement on section 2, in October, 1856, and is still a resident of the township.
P. M. Finch, one of the early settlers of Cass county, located where he now lives, in October, 1856. He was born in Erie county, New York , September 15, 1815 . When he was nine years of age he removed with his parents to Michigan where his father, Joel Finch, resided until his decease. The subject of this sketch was married in Michigan , to Martha Pelton, a native of Connecticut , and removed to Iowa , in 1856. They have two children - Mary and Josiah. Mr. Finch's farm is located on section 2. Mr. Finch, like most of the pioneers of this county, has, by steady industry, amassed an easy competency and is enjoying the proud consciousness of having always done his duty.
