Louis M. Jaeger was born in Burlington, Iowa, Sept. 23, 1858; he died in that city May 12, 1907 . He was a cigarmaker by trade and was prominent in labor circles, having served a term as vice-president of the Iowa State Federation of Labor. He was a member of the House of Representatives in the 27th, 28th and 29th General Assemblies. THOMAS W. JOHNSTON was born in County Mayo , Ireland , in 1840; he died in Dubuque , Iowa , Nov. 30, 1906 . In early youth he came to America with his parents settling in Indiana and a few years later locating on a farm in Dubuque county. He represented Dubuque county in the 15th and 16th General Assemblies. For many years he was superintendent of the county poor farm. |
