FIRST EAST ELEVEN OF 20TH CENTURY

This is East Waterloo High's first football squad of the 20th century,
the team of 1901 that won six, lost two and tied one.
Left to right are: front row,
Bickley, Harry Harper, Paul Smith, Charles Sessions,
Wayne Whaley (in white jersey);
second row,
Pierce, Harold Richards, Herman Paul, Harvey Law, Edwards, Ed McFarlane;
back row,
Alex McKinley, Clayton Bronson, James Jensen, Elmer Mack, Lee Hartong.
East defeated Independence twice, New Hampton three times and
Ackley once, bowed to Dubuque twice and tied Grinnell.
1902 EAST HIGH BASEBALL TEAM

The East Waterloo High School baseball team of 1902 included mascot,
a spaniel dog belonging to Ed and Arch McFarlane.
