Seeking other descendants/researchers of Andrew ANDERSON, b:
June 24, 1832 in Norway, died June 9, 1921 in Decatur Co, Iowa. Andrew
was married to Inger ORMSDOTTER. They had a child named Anna, who was born
1864, and died 1937 in Lamoni, Decatur Co, Iowa.
To the best of my knowledge, my grandfather Elmer AVERY was
born Sept. 28, 1895 near Weldon, Decatur Co., Iowa. His parents were Henry
AVERY and Mary Alice LLOYD. He had an older sister, Florence Edna, and
a younger brother Walter. Any information on the AVERY family would be
appreciated.
Am looking for information on Caroline METZER LIGHTHILL BIDDLE.
She was born in PA about 1837. METZER was her maiden name. She and her
first husband, Henry LIGHTHILL moved to Decatur county in the 1850's. Henry
died in Decatur county 4 Oct 1865 and is buried there. Sometime thereafter,
Caroline was remarried to a Mr. BIDDLE first name unknown. We believe the
marriage took place in Decatur county as well. I have been unable to discover
who Caroline's parents were, birth and death dates for her, or which Mr.
BIDDLE she married. Don't even know if there were children from the second
marriage. Any information would be appreciated.
I am new to this and I am interested in any information anyone may have run across about the BROOKE name from around Leon,IA. They did move to Harrison county around 1900?

who lived in Decatur County. He was born about 1839 in Ohio, son of John
BRUNER and Mary DUNBAR. They resided in Burrell Twp. in Decatur County.

I am searching for the death records and place of burial of
my husbands gr grandmother Emma Jane BURNHAM. She was married to William
Nelson BURNHAM and they were listed on the 1900 census in Ringold Co. IA.
William Nelson was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lamoni. Emma Jane died
23 Jun 1901 and I thought perhaps she may have been buried in or near Lamoni.
Any information on her death or place of burial would be greatly appreciated.

George COLE born 1819 TN died 1894 Grand River,Decatur Co,
IA. He married Martha BAKER born 1820 TN and died 6 July 1915 Grand River,
Decatur Co, IA. Both George COLE and Martha BAKER Cole are buried at Young
Cem, Richland Twp, Decatur Co, IA.
Children: Andrew Jackson COLE 1843-1892, William A COLE 1844-1900,
George COLE 1846-1863, Charles J COLE 1848-1915, James A COLE 1851-1917,

Looking for descendents of James H. EVANS and Jane TINCKNELL married
in Dyersville, Dubuque Co., IA Dec 12, 1866 and moved to Leon, Decatur
Co, Ia in 1893. They were the parents of 11 children.
Five children were living in 1903: Fred, George, Minnie, Mattie
and John. Mother Jane was buried in the Leon cemetery after dying May 31,
1903. Member of Methodist Church.

He settled in Decatur county and left a large family. I am especially interested in descendants of his son Wilson I GARDNER and his wife Catherine Teresa NIGHTWINE.

Howard KELLEY. He would have been born about 1820 and she in about 1835.
Different documents give 2 different locations for James Brown Kelley's
birthplace, KY and IL. Rachel was born in IN. Both died in Van Wert, Decatur
county, IA about 1909-1910. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
He may have been a merchant of some kind.

born 1804 in Penn. and died 1871 in Decatur Co. and his wife Elizabeth
who was born 1813 in Penn. and died 1865 in Decatur Co. They had children
