
Here is a photo of Mendenhall's store at High Point on Hwy 2 taken
in the mid to late 1940s. I lived in the house and worked in the
store from age 8 to 18. My dad, Ivan Mendenhall, owned and ran the
store until the Hwy Dept took the property to widen the intersection in
1958. The photo was taken in B&W by Horace Wiley and "tinted"
by him. My sister, Norma Rockhold, is the city clerk in Corydon,
Iowa.
