WILLIAM
KRAGENBRINK
William Kragenbrink is well known in
William Kragenbrink is one of a family of ten children
and received a thorough common-school
education. When a youth of seventeen years he started out in life for
himself, being first employed by the month upon a farm. He displayed
commendable thrift and saved his earnings and after a time rented a farm, which
he successfully cultivated. In 1908 he purchased forty-two acres of land in
Oneida township and since that time has made his home upon the property, upon
which he has erected a number of substantial buildings. He does general
farming, raising both grain and stock, and his industry and good management secure him a competence.
Mr. Kragenbrink was married in February,
1903, to Miss Ida Nieman, who was born in Clayton county, this state, a
daughter of William and Mary Nieman, both of whom are living in Earlville. A
sketch of her parents appears elsewhere in this work. To Mr. and Mrs.
Kragenbrink have been born two children: William H., whose birth occurred on
the 23d of June, 1911; and Carl H., born February 25, 1913.
Mr. Kragenbrink is a democrat in his
political belief and displays a commendable interest in public affairs. He has
won the respect of his fellowmen by reason of a life honorable in all respects
and above any suspicion of wrong dealing.
