Dr. Claude B. Rogers, who has been successfully, engaged in
the practice of medicine and surgery at Earlville for the past fifteen years,
is the oldest physician of the town in point of time of professional
service. His birth occurred in
Dr. Claude B. Rogers was reared under the parental roof and
supplemented his preliminary education by a course of study in Epworth
Seminary, from which institution he was graduated in 1895. In preparation for a
professional career he entered the medical department of the State University
of Iowa at
On the 3d of January, 1899, Dr. Rogers was united in
marriage to Miss Edith Taylor, who was born September 24, 1875, in the same
house where she now lives, her parents being William W. and Eva (Irish) Taylor, the former a native of
Delaware county, Iowa, and the latter of Wisconsin. Our subject and his wife have one son, Neil T., who was born

In his political views Dr. Rogers is a republican, and he is now
doing able service as a member of the town council. Fraternally he is
identified with the Masons, belonging to Lodge No. 286, in which he has filled
all of the chairs. Both he and his wife attend the
services of the Methodist Episcopal church. Dr. Rogers
is generous in his support of a worthy cause and in all the relations of life
measures up to the full requirements of an intelligent and progressive member
of the commonwealth.
