FIRST DAKOTA CAVALRY

Note from admin:

The 1st Dakota Cavalry was a Union battalion composed of Companies A. and B. stationed in the Dakota Territory during the American Civil War to protect settlers during the Sioux Uprising of 1862. Some of the soldiers were from Iowa and we will try to get a full roster of their names.
