OLD COUNTY HOME:

Center and about 1/4th mile from eastern line of section 4, Union Township.

Buried here were deceased patients of the county poor home before IAAP purchased the land.

It may also have been a family or neighborhood cemetery as well, but not documented.

All of the graves were moved from this cemetery when the munitions plant was built.

Notes: We are searching for documents that might show who was originally buried here, and what cemetery they were moved to in 1940. We also seek a photo of the county poor home while it was in use.
