Property Owners - Abstract of Original Entries
Julien Township

This page is a complete transcription of the records of original property ownership. These records indicate who bought land directly from the government when it was first made available to the public for purchase.

Note: In the original records, when a person bought several pieces of property at one time, the person entering it in the register used a big left curly brace in the left margin of the page to surround the number of pieces of properties purchased. Because of the limitations of HTML, I have just used merged cells.

The left side of the original document (property descriptions) was torn/difficult to read. Also the pieces of property purchased by the city were listed as so-and-so AS MAYOR, then so, so, so-and-so AS ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE. I abbreviated a bit but if you want full and totally accurate, that's the way it reads.
