farmer, Sec. 36; P. O. West Union; owns forty acres of land, valued at $800; born in Philadelphia in 1824. Married Hannah Barry in 1852; she was born in Monroe County, Penn. 1830; have seven children: Joseph, John, Jacob, A. Lincoln, Jennette, Walter, and Elizabeth; lost two - Sarah and Samuel R. Came to Iowa in 1865 and located in Dover Township. Mr. H. has been School Director and is a member of the Baptist Church.
