Co., VT, in 1808; located in Wyoming Co., NY, in 1824; in this county in
1869. He married Miss Mary A. Tallman March 6, 1839; she was born in
Wyoming Co., NY, in 1818; have five children living: Darius, born June 19,
1842; William H., born July 10, 1843; David, born October 7, 1844;
Henrietta A., born February 25, 1847; Aurora, born November 7, 1849. Mr.
and Mrs. Matteson together own 177 acres of land, worth $30 per acre.
