The newsletter is about Des Moines County residents that went to CA in 1850. Some of the company members  and descendants moved to Henry County, IA after they returned from CA in including the two of the Coad brothers, William Dobson, descendants of William and Ephraim Husted, descendants of Joseph Fiialkowski, descendants of Miles Babb.  My great great grandfather Samuel T. Saint lived in Henry Co. before the went to CA.

My goal is to uncover any other information about the wagon train, their mining experiences in CA, the return trip to IA and their life after return. With more information I will be able to extend the newsletter's publication beyond a few quarterly issues.
