Schafer, John Robert (p. 353)
At the age of twenty, Mr. Schafer married O. Nevada Collins, on 22 November 1894, the daughter of K.B. and Eliza J. (Springer ) Collins, the mother a native of Ohio and the father of West Virginia. They had eleven children: Maggie, Effgie, Josie; Everette, George H., and a pair of twins d. in infancy; Charles W. of Kits Caty, Alberta, Canada; Miinta C.; O. Nevada, m. Mr. Schafer; and Della May. Mrs. Collins had been married before, her first husband was James Humphrey. They had two children James and Lydia.
Mr. and Mrs Schafer had seven children: Orpha G. b. 23 September 1895; Franklin C. b. 18 February 1897; Irma C., b. 4 February 1898; Verle Van, b. 7 May 1900; Iva May b. 9 October 1901; Norval Paul b. 6 September 1903; and Martha Helen, b. 22 October 1905.
Schaper, C.J. (p. 186)
Mr. Schaper was married 15 March 1900 to Rosie Siegrist, one of twelve children born to John and Marie (Scaugg) Siegrist, the others were: Mary m. Alfred Timmons, of Floyd Co.; Louisa, m.Andrew Immer, also fo Floyd Co.; Anna; William, twin to Rosie; John; Emma m. William Burgmann of Plattville, Wisc.; Lena, twin sister to Emma; Lena m. Amiel Buehler of Whittier, Calif; Kate, m. Reynold Thurow of Floyd Co.; Edith m. William Klauges, also of Floyd; and Paulina of Chicago Illinois.
Mr. and Mrs Schaper had three children: Lillian A. b. 25 Februrya 1901; Chester A., b. 10 September 1903; and Raymond C. b. 19 May 1906
Schleichert, Gottlob (p. 297)
On 14 October 1873, in Louisa Co., he married Lena Stock, also a native of Germany that he had become acquainted with on the boat. Her mother had passed away in the old country in1872, but her father was living at Red Cloud, Webster Co., Nebr. when he died in 1898.
Mr. and Mrs. Schleichert had four children: Otto; Lydia, m. Harley Krahl; Amelia, m. Orlen Kemp;and Elma m. Oliver Hoffman.
Schneider, George J. (p. 77)
On the 4 April 1894, Mr. Schneider married Musa Graham, born near Wapello, 11 February 1874, daughter of Daniel and Fannie (Hart) Graham. The father was a native of Ohio and the mother of New York, but they were married in Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Graham had eleven children: Clarence W.; Lillie, d. age six; Musa, m. Mr. Schneider; Daisy, d. age twenty months; Harry L.; Myrtle, m. W.A. McGill; Charley; Nannie, m. Lee Warner, of GrandView; Harold; and Lucille.
Mr. and Mrs. Schneider had five children: Floyd Warren, b. 1 June 1895; Raymond Louis, b. 26 October 1896; Howard Daniel, d.age five y. 6m. 26d; Ermil Nellie b. 24 October 1903; and Kenneth george b. 13 November 1905
Schofield, George Washington (p. 68)
Mr. Schofield married Cassie Williams, a native of Louisa Co., in April 1888,but she only lived about fourteen months, dying in June 1889. The one child born, died in infancy. On 28 December 1893, Mr. Schofield m.)2 to Analetta Hamilton, also a native of Louisa Co., daughter of Alexander and Susanna Hamilton. The parents were natives of Ohio, where they lived subsequently to coming to Iowa. The mother died in 1898 and the father survived until after 1912. Mrs. Schofield was the eldest child in her family, the oters were Alonzo G.; Davilla; Frank; Bertha; George B. and Charley.
Schomberg, Fred (p.301)
In December 1905, Mr. Schombert married May Chown, a native of Louisa Co., and daughter fo George and Mary Chown, who were born in Virginia and Iowa respectively. Mrs. Schomberg taught school for several years before her marriage. They had three children: Florence L. Alice L. and Catherine E.
Schweitzer, Charles (p. 559)
On the 1 March 1905, Mr. Schweitzer was married to Marcia Chambliss, daughter of Jeff and Elizabeth Chamblis. They had two daughters Vivian, 4 yrs old and Loleta, 1 yr old in 1912.
On the 21 November 1900, Mr. Schweitzer married Katie Beik, who was born on the 18 July 1880, the daughter of Jacob and Alurdo (Hanley) Beik. They had four children, one dying in infancy, the others: Marie b. 12 April 1904; Jacob b. 1 Augut 1906 and Erma b. 8 April 1909.
On 19 May 1909, he married Edna Williams, born in Muscatine, 15 December 1875, the daughter of J.. and Nancy (Webster) Williams, the mother a native of Ohio. Her siblings were: Walter W., a missionary in China; one died in infancy; and H.R. who lived at Grandview.
Mr. and Mrs. Schweitzer had a son Paul William b. 29 June 1910.
Searl, Frank Stacey (p.279)
Mr. Searl married twice. He m.1) Minerva Livingston, daughter of Robert and Minerva Livingston, of Illinois. By his first wife he had one daughter, Irma Elaine, born 30 April 1894. Nine months later, the mother passed away. He m. 2) Sophia Herr, daughter of George Herr. They had four children: a son b. 4 November 1902, d. the following day; Friend Stacey, b. 31 October 1903; Feh (?) Maxine, b. 7 March 1905; and Robert Herr Lloyd b. 76 October 1910
Sellers, John A. (p. 57)
On Christmas 1857, Mr. Sellers married Hannah Lunbeck, daughter of Isaac and Eliza (Marshall) Lunbeck and they became the parents of the following children: Homer; Robert; Andrew; Annie; Eva m. William Root (Rutt); and Lillian, m. Lew Green of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Sellers died in May 1896.
Mr. Sellers married Mary Elizabeth Weaver on 5 November 1868. She was the daughter of Erastus and Mary (Marshall) Weaver. Her mother was a native of Ohio, and was born in the vicinity of Xenia on 30 April 1829. She married Erastus Weaver on 20 December 1847 and they became the parents of nine children: Mary E.; Laura and Annie, both died in infancy; Emily Frances, m. W.H. Darrow; Lucy, m. Sam Briggs; Clara m. Dr. Allen; H.O.; Henrietta. m. August Salmon; and Alice died in infancy. Mrs. Weaver died 16 November 1898 and was buried by her parents in Fulton Cemetery. (Marshall plot)
