There are two categories of Biographies listed on the Louisa County web site. The first are those that were published in 1912. The second category are either biographies that were compiled a few years back with the intention of publishing a new Louisa County History Book when the company that had the contract went bankrupt with no book published. Some biographies have been published in the LCGS newsletter. Research continues and an effort is being made to share the information that we have with the public.

Louisa County Biographies: are condensed from the Louisa County History Book by Arthur Springer.  (Louisa County Biographies from the Louisa County History Book by Arthur Springer, S.J. Clark Publishing Company, Chicago, Il 1912). These biographies have been rewritten and are printed here as clues to the life of your ancestors.  The page numbers of the original account are listed and you are encouraged to verify and document the facts stated here. County histories are notably inaccurate, but are a valuable source in helping to locate the real data. Keep in mind this was printed in 1912 and there may be more children in some of the young married families. Click letter below for the names you wish:

Biographies published in the Louisa County Newsletter:

The second category of  biographies is more recent than the those published in the Springer History book. Some have been published in the Louisa County Genealogical Society Newsletter. Many of these are the result of the research of Keith Street of KCCasey Enterprises, whose address is found on the index page of this web site. In time, other biographies from the files in the Genealogy Library at the Heritage Center will be added to this collection. These are listed alphabetically and will be indexed as more are added.
