Note regarding MAYLONE/MALONE, Fred S. received from his daughter in law:
I am researching, Fred S. Maylone, b: 1906, d: 1943. This is my husband's father and the last name was changed to Malone. This is now shown on the new headstone placed at the grave of Fred S.
Anyone researching this family, please contact me. I also noticed that there were not any Malone's listed from the Cline cemetery and there are a few buried there.

The old tombstone that was on my husband's father's gave is now sitting by my potting shed in my plant nursery here at the ranch in Arizona. It made the trip from Iowa without a hitch! The new tombstone has the last name spelled like his dad had legally changed it to. I'm sure the Maylone's are probably still chaffed by it even today. I in turn will make sure when the time
comes that my husband's tombstone will read 'Malone' also and I'll take over the watch to make sure it's not ever changed against his will like his dad's was.
