Mummey-Smith Family

by Dave Gruning of Laurel, Mississippi,
whose wife descends from Asa B. Smith.
July 5th, 2005 Correspondence from Dave Gruning
Attached are scans from my wife Nancy's "Mummey/Smith" family
history book. The book is a photo-copy of records and pictures that were
collected by a number of relatives. The photos are not very high quality
since they were scanned from photocopies. The first picture was taken on
October 24, 1920, the 98th birthday of Sarah Mummey Smith. My wife's
mother, Frances Runkle Tisthammer was nearly two years old at the time and is in
the center of the picture in the back. Her grandmother Sadie Smith Runkle
is also in the picture with her mother Olive Chandler Smith.
