Peter Clausen and wife have sold to Lena Jacobsen the property listed as lot one in Cottage Grove addition for $1400.

Life on a homestead in Kidder county, North Dakota has been pleasant and profitable according to a letter from C.A. Peterson, who writes to THE CHRONICLE to renew his subscription. Mr. Peterson at one time lived in Wheeler township and asks to be remembered to his many friends. He says he couldn't get along without this paper.

Daniel Nunemaker is sick at his home in this city.

The Board of Supervisors has selected THE CHRONICLE as one of the official papers for the county this year. Read this paper if you want county news.

H.C. Simons has accepted a position in a blacksmith shop at Schleswig and began work last Saturday.

Robert J. Miller, whose sale will be held January 24, will in the spring move to Odebolt to make his permanent home. He has prospered on the farm and is now in such financial shape that he can quit work. With his wife he will spend a month visiting relatives in Indiana and other places before settling in town.

Mrs. Alec Kurl came from Lawrence Kansas, Saturday to be at the bedside of her mother, Mrs. Millie Hall, who is quite ill.

John Nunemaker came from Pennsylvania Friday morning for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Nunemaker, and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. John Veit jr., and little daughter went to Danbury Friday to see Mrs. Veit's mother, Mrs. Pete Smith, who is quite ill with pneumonia.

Church Notice: A series of evangelistic meetings will be held in the Swedish Mission Covenant church, beginning Thursday evening, January 12 at 8 p.m. and continuing every evening for a week, including two services on Sunday. Rev. L.W.A. Bjorkman of Burlington will assist the pastor. Everybody understanding the Swedish language is cordially invited.
