Note: There used to be a "Shearer Church or Union Church" just outside of the Cemetery to the west, a large yard around it. It was built in 1870, and burned to the ground on February 17, 1954. They purchased the old "Lone Elm School" buildIng southeast of Braddyville (one of Missouris closed schools) for a church. On April 25, 1963 a tornado blew this one away. The community re-built a shelter with a sliding door, so the piano can be rolled out for use. this shelter was still standing in December 1977, today all is gone!
